Meet the Board

This managing and working board is dedicated to moving the mission of the Share Life Gifts, Inc. forward. They work numerous hours per week to ensure that the programs are vetted, delivered, and funded. The mission of providing resources for individuals in historically underrepresented communities to provide them greater advancement and long term positioning inspires us all.


  • Founding Board member and President/CEO

    Candace founded Share Life Gifts, Inc. in July 2021. As the organization’s President/CEO, her mission is to reduce the resource gaps in the African American Community and other historically underrepresented minority communities. She seeks to empower these groups, increasing their chances for generational wealth. SLG, Inc. will leverage the skills and talents of individuals toward this effort by forming a true talent giving community.

    Candace oversees the daily operations of SLG, Inc. She works closely with the Board to further Share Life Gifts’ mission. Candace dedicates 30 hours a week to moving the mission of SLG forward.

    As a licensed attorney in multiple jurisdictions, Candace brings over 17 years of nonprofit experience as well as her extensive experience working with volunteer work forces, governance bodies, and other executive leadership.

    Candace has a Bachelor in Arts (Political Science) from the Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois, a Master in Arts (English) from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY., and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Illinois Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. She also serves on the Board for Christian Counseling Associates and recently served as Vice President and President for NAMI Howard County, Maryland. Candace is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta, Sorority Inc.


  • Board Secretary

    Ayesha Abdallah graduated with her graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology in May of 2023. While in graduate school, she participated in a pageant highlighting her platform “The systemic inequity of African Americans being under-treated for pain in the medical system.” Upon leaving New York for Maryland to work towards her career as a Medical SLP, she plans on embodying her platform through her daily work.


    As a new graduate working in a field where Black people make up 3.7% of the workforce, she has experienced firsthand the privilege that advanced education can afford an individual. Integrating the skills learned through this experience with the mission of SLG, Inc., she is excited to work in the community.

  • An attorney, advisor, and advocate, honed her talents for over 25 years, shining in her community as a thought leader, compassionate pioneer, and supportive activist. Marcie believes that the combination of knowledge, experience, and innovation is key to the progress of successful organizations.


    Marcie began her legal career as a corporate tax associate, prior to moving to Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Upon returning to the States, Marcie worked as an Admissions Counselor for the Ohio State Moritz College of Law. Her role allowed her to travel extensively across the nation, visiting numerous undergraduate institutions, representing the law school at informational sessions and mentoring Ohio bar applicants.

    Marcie excelled while working in the Franklin County, Ohio Court as a staff attorney, researching novel legal issues, drafting legal opinions, assisting pro se litigants, supervising externs, and supporting judicial staff. She transferred her skills to the corporate setting, doing meticulous legal document review and effectuating efficiency in the legal department of a top logistics company. Her resolute, patient, and approachable nature not only supported her professional endeavors, but allowed her to positively impact the lives of children in her community. For nearly a decade, Marcie volunteered consistently as a Girl Scout leader, PTSA volunteer, and Sunday school teacher. She co-founded the Equity and Inclusion Committee in her home school district, and counseled high school seniors through the college admissions process. Serving on the board of three organizations, including Share Life Gifts, Marcie continues to use her talents, creativity, and skills to cultivate and inspire life changing efforts to better the global community.

    Marcie is a member of the Bar in both federal and state jurisdictions. For three decades, she has been an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she served as public service chair, May Week chair, parliamentarian, and journalist. Marcie earned a Bachelor degree (Finance) from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

  • Founding Board Member

    Jennifer Cephus has worked in the Financial Service industry for over 20 years and is currently at Citibank’s Wealth Management division as a Wealth Relationship Manager. She has cultivated relationships throughout her years working in the industry to help her clients reach their financial goals. Her passion lies in connecting individuals together to foster an environment where everyone succeeds.

    Another passion of Jennifer’s is working within her community and grassroot organizations to support the youth achieve academic excellence, social, and cultural awareness. She has worked with various non-profit organizations in the past and has been the President of Naomi’s Program of Excellence, a local non-profit organization based in Rockland County, New York. She currently sits on their executive team as Vice President and is a board member for Share Life Gifts Inc.

    While working with various organizations, she has assisted them in their fundraising efforts, partnering with other local organizations in her community, and their grant writing process. Jennifer has also assisted in spear-heading efforts related to assisting children further their academic aspirations through college planning activities such as SAT/ACT prep classes and college tours. Her vision for excellence is evident in her work in the community.
    Jennifer holds a Bachelor in Arts from the University of New York at Albany, a Master in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Inc., Life Member of the NAACP, a graduate of Jack and Jill of America Inc, and an Associate Member of Jack and Jill of America Inc.

  • Beth Celestini lives according to a tiny sign on her dresser, a gift from one of her lifelong girlfriends that says, “You are the friend everyone wishes they had.” Beth recently retired from a highly successful career in the U.S. Secret Service, during which she traveled around the world, meeting and learning from some of the greatest global leaders of our time. Prior to the Secret Service, Beth worked for the Department of Justice as a paralegal and at Pretrial Services for the U.S. District Court as an investigator. Over the course of more than 25 years in these various roles, Beth learned how to assemble and lead diverse, cross-functional teams and gather resources necessary for those teams to accomplish seemingly impossible missions.

    Since retiring from the government, Beth has channeled her empathy for victims of crime and exploitation along with her passionate advocacy for underserved populations into a new chapter as the founder and president of Crown Diversified Consultants. This new beginning has already led to her working as an advisor, researcher, and investigator for both the Black and Missing Foundation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

    Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) and a Master of Arts (Sociology with a Criminology concentration) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and entertaining friends.

    Thank you for the opportunity and privilege of letting me introduce myself, I am Lois A. Jenkins one of the Board Members of Share Life Gifts, Inc.


    As for my work experiences, I have been a Correctional Counselor, A Program Director for a Non-for-Profit, and has spent more than 25 years in Federal Government Services in United States Courts and reviewing grants. My career background has molded and prepared me to the various problems that normally occur in life. Aside from that, I have strong ethics, leadership skills which I was able to develop from my past experiences. My educational background makes me qualified for this post. Sharing my talents with others helps me to be a better person. “You will face many defeats in life, but never let yourself be defeated” by Maya Angelou.

    During my free time, I Row, traveled around the world, and very much enjoy going to the movies with my family.
