
Building Communities Symposium: HVAC & IT Careers
Joins us for a day of information sharing, presentations on the path to jobs in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and IT (Information Technology) professions. Learn what options for jobs are in these specialty fields. Participate in presentations exploring college versus trade education paths. Get tips on next steps if interested in pursuing training in the following areas: HVAC specialties (Plumbing, electrician, project management) and IT specialties (TBA). Create a draft career checklist that will be a guide for post event execution. Gain contacts in these fields and connections to support your learning experience.

The Symposium is an opportunity to learn from leading experts in their fields as well as new professionals in their careers. Come hear about interesting opportunities. It is important that we actively participate in building our communities, especially in the Black Community that has been historically underserved. We must all do our part, and all jobs are critical to building strong communities.
Come to explore diverse careers to understand first-hand what they entail and if the area could be the right opportunity for you to build a strong career in and support your family. This conversation and support is more important now more than ever. Even those job opportunities that don't require a college degree are valuable options that our program will highlight.
